Dana Ruggiero embarked on her dance journey at the tender age of two and began teaching at the age of 14. She earned her associates degree in Dance and Business from Westchester Community College, showcasing her commitment to both the artistic and business aspects of the dance industry. Throughout her career, Dana has taught dance at various studios in Westchester County and New York City, continuously sharing her love of dance with her students.

As the Director of a Dance Studio at Rooftop Rhythms Dance Inc., Dana has created a nurturing and inclusive environment for her students. She takes great pride in the close-knit family that has formed amongst the students and teachers at Rooftop Rhythms. It is a safe space where students from different schools and backgrounds come together and express themselves through dance, fostering acceptance and unity.

Under Dana's leadership, the Performance Company at Rooftop Rhythms has thrived, receiving numerous special judges' awards and high achievement accolades at competitions. The company has also had the opportunity to perform for the local community, nursing homes, benefits, parades, as well as prestigious venues such as Iona College and The Harlem Globetrotters.

Dana's talents extend beyond teaching and directing. She has earned Dance Awards for Choreography and has been recognized as Most Talented. Her commitment to the New York School system is evident through her work at schools such as Hutchinson School in Pelham NY, The South Side Boys & Girls Club, Horace Mann School in Riverdale, Riverdale Community Center at M.S. 141, and Daniel Webster. Additionally, Dana actively participates in and donates her time to dance benefits and performances, while supporting local schools, breast cancer awareness, Walk MS, and Garito Manor retirement home.
